Photography equipment and wishlist
Just thought I'd let you all know what I use to take my pictures, and what I'd like to get in the near future if I can afford it.
My current gear consists of:
1) Canon 20d
2) Canon 50mm 1.8f
3) Canon 28-135mm 3.5/5.6 IS
4) Canon 70-200mm 4.0L (My best lens)
5) Canon "Delux" tripod
I've occasionally borrowed the following lenses from a friend.
1) Canon 100mm Macro
2) Canon 200mm 2.8L
3) Canon 24-70mm 2.8L
My wish list right now is as follows, in the order that I'd like them. Note the list gets alot less sure the further I get down...
1) Canon 580EX II Flash
2) Canon 100mm macro lens
3) Some new tripod, of which I haven't figured out yet...
4) Canon 17-40mm 4.0L, or if I can afford it, 16-35mm 2.8L.
5) Upgrade my Canon 70-200mm to maybe a 2.8 or 2.8 IS.
6) Canon 50mm 1.4, or maybe a 1.2L if I can afford it.
7) Probably a Canon 65mm MP-E.
Somewhere along the way I'll also by Photoshop and probably lightroom, while I'm still a student and I can get the discounts... I would also like to get a new computer sometime, with lots of storage space, but that can wait for a bit... Hmmm... Someday I'll get it all figured out...

Photography podcasts
From time to time I listen to several photography podcasts. In particular are two, a new one called Photo Focus http://www.photofocus.com and a older one called Tips from the Top Floor (http://www.tipsfromthetopfloor.com/).
Photo Focus first runs entirely on questions about photography presented from users, done by a person who is well known for sharing his tips and an excellent photographer, Scott Borne. I follow him on twitter, and have learned tons from him, he is @ScottBorne. I've learned a great deal from him already, and I highly encourage you to follow him if you are interested in photography.
The second, Tips from the Top Floor, is more geared to the higher end photographer, perhaps the prosumer level. Still, it has many tips, including things to increase creativity and improve your photography. You can follow the main producer, Chris Marquardt, at @chrismarqardt on twitter.

Stock Photography
I occasionally post some of my images to stock photo sites, as a way to improve my photography, get more pictures out there, and just to see how it works. Well, I wanted to gather some statistics about that, so here it goes!
First of all, I'm currently working with 3 sites.
Shutterstock -I've been accepted for about a week or two. It took me 2 tries to get accepted, and I had to wait 1 month between tries.
Bigstock I've been posting images for about 2 months or so.
Fotolia I've been there for about a month.
Total accepted for each site:
Shutterstock- 26
Bigstock - 43
Fotolia- 10
Total Submited

Bigstock- 111
Fotolia- 88

Daily Photography in the Desert
As a bit of stress relief, excuse to get some exercise, and to work on my photography, I've been forcing myself to take a picture every day for the last week, and will continue this tradition. I'm posting the pictures at my album here. It's been an interesting adventure, and especially last night, I decided I just couldn't decide which picture to use. So, I'm going to post all of the pictures that would have made it, if I had used it another day. So, here's my "Almost Daylies". Oh, if you want quicker updates, follow @pearsonartphoto on twitter.
Oh, and if you like these pictures, please click on the picture, bring your mouse over the picture on the right and give it a thumbs up. Thanks!

Collages
For a while now, I've been trying to find a good banner to connect the blog and website together. After some consideration, I decided to go with a collage, as done by Shape Collage. I've also made a few other ones, here they are. Clicking on the picture will let you see it in higher resolution. For more, please click on one of the pictures, it'll take you to a gallery of all of the ones I've done so far. Hope you enjoy!
